Members Papa Bear Posted April 12, 2015 Members Posted April 12, 2015 Good day for crappie. They were either suspended at 5 foot in 10-12 FOW or on the bank. Minnows or jigs with white grubs or white slider with chartreuse tails. Water was just slightly stained. Fished coves and pockets with gravel, chunk rock and some timber. Members Nathan Shaw Posted April 12, 2015 Members Posted April 12, 2015 I put in at Highpoint around 4pm and met up with a couple of friends on the water. I fished the same area and similar pattern yesterday and today but focused on banks primarily and caught most of our fish on minnows. We did catch a few on jigs of various colors. I would say that 4 out of 5 we caught where keepers. It sure would be nice if this weather would hold for a week or so. Hopefully the rain in the forecast won't mess things up too bad. I think it is still a little ways away for it to be "on". All but one of the fish I cleaned tonight where males. She was still a little ways off from being ready to drop em. slab slinger Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 I was up there today and got intoa few off bank after youth turkey huntin. Only had a hour or 2 to try it. Got 10 real quick on chart swim minnow. Boat moved in right on top of me and compleatly blocked me from fishing. He got 5 or 6 and moved on. Wanted to cause a scene but didnt gotta share the lake, even with the A-Holes. Stood there for another hour or so doing all i could for another 5, didnt happen. They were all big males and had there spawn color on dark heads and gill plates. Wont be long but im ready NOW! Haha. Sac River Jim, Aggressor1988long and Papa Bear 3

slab slinger Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Aggressor.... I dont wanna give up my sweet bank fishing hole but yes i was up there between Ceader Ridge and Aldrich on the north side of the lake. All the fish i caught were in in 4-8fow. I was fishing my go to swimmin minnow 2' under a bobber. All my fish were males but they were gettin black already from the shallow water. Biggest was 11.5 inches. Give it a week or two if the weather holds and itll be full swing. Great mess of fish you worked up. Nice report. Sac River Jim and Aggressor1988long 2
