Buddy and I from Nebraska Fished morning and evenings last 3 days in KC area. Main lake and secondary points. Top water in morning no love. Caught 3 keeps total 3 days with 5 lb on jig in 10 ft of water on Sunday. Fishing the Ned with lots of little smallies and 1 keep. Tried wart with 1 lm. Lizard and other soft plastics didn't yield much of anything. Lots of wind. Overall slow and not as good as we hoped. Were here till Thursday and looking for better luck.

Welcome to the Forum rw. That 5 lb fish on the jig is a very nice one. Hopefully the catching will improve as the weather becomes more stable and warm later this week. Appreciate the report.

Born to Fish. Forced to Work.

Have to slow the Ned waaaay down. Bite today was with it sitting absolutely still, then just a single peck. Feels like a heavy perch bite.

Still plenty of them available. Caught some decent blacks early, and solid brown keepers throughout the morning.

Really don't think it is warm or clear enough for a good tw bite around 1 yet.

We have tried to fish and slow as we can with the wind and all. We will double our efforts tomorrow. What fish we have caught on Ned, 90% are 6-8 inch smallies. Have been fishing 20-30 fow on gravel points with trees. Caught 2-3 near keeper kentuckies today on rage craw or brush hog. Missed a couple of sure keepers this evening. Staying at whispering woods. Nice guy Gary there reccomended fishing at night. May try that tommorow. Enjoy and really appreciate all your input and information on this forum. It's truly a great resource. Without it I'd be lost.

Might be a little deep. Try secondaries and coves in the creeks. The creek fish are a little more consistent. Bank out to 15' or so, with the boat in about 17'-18'. There are some on runouts at the creek mouths, those are a little deeper.
