My son and I really enjoyed our recent first visit to Table Rock. What a great lake to run 3/4 of a tank of gas through our new Lund and get more comfortable with all the great new technology we put on the boat. And best of all we caught fish despite the weather!

Nothing impressive to report. We boated a dozen bass the first day after getting on the water at 12:30. Boated another 15 the next day and just four Saturday and four Sunday morning before heading home. I was very pleased to get my TR triple on my first three fish of the trip! I sure didn't expect that. Those spots sure are a blast to catch! Most of our fish were smallmouths with several spots and just three largemouths.

We learned a lot about fishing this type of water. We have everyone who posts in this forum to thank for getting us pointed in the right direction. We caught virtually all of our fish in about 15 fow, although looking back we should've made ourselves probe even deeper. Most of our fish came on a Ned as well. What a bait! Can't wait to wet that thing up north on our favorite smallmouth lakes. It should be dynamite.

Thanks again everyone. Your generous sharing of information is impressive and helpful.

My son's first Kentucky was much nicer. Plump too!

My son got the best bass of the trip with this 17-inch smallie. He had another a tad shorter.

Great report. Thanks for sharing and glad you had a great time at the lake.

Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.

Very nice report Frank. Love those Father and Son fishing trips. Congrats on the new boat, sounds like ya'll got some fish slime on the new carpet, now it's broken in. Glad you guys got some fish and I'll bet the little rig will do some damage to those Northern smallies.
