Anyone know any spots in/near Jefferson county to get on some BIG bluegill???

I'm taking the kayak down to Council Bluff Lake Saturday for Redear. They have bluegill there also, but redear are much bigger.

That would be the spot. I have not been in a couple of years, but they should still be good. Full moon coming up, they should be on beds.

Im also wanting to get some warmouth this year. Ive only caught 2 in my like, both from joachim. Anyone have a honey hole for warmouth?

More on council bluff,if its not too much, could you clue me in on any specific areas to catch good redear, or the bait/tactics you like to use? Thanks

Shallow rocky banks near shore. I fish crickets, jigs, or rooster tails.

Fished Council Bluff several years ago . Best bluegill ever caught . HUGE !!! . Right from boat ramp stay to left a couple city blocks and tie up in timber . Fished with red wigglers . 1-1.5 lb red ear .
