rps Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 When I put in shortly before 11 this morning I found 70 to 72 degree surface temps. The water was green clear and muddy - that means the water was clear but had large plumes of muddy water that came out of the creeks. Much debris in the creeks as well. flyrod17 and Phil Lilley 2
kjackson Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Leatherwood probably contributed to that. My branch of the creek is nearly as high as I've seen it but very, very muddy. I've never seen it so brown. I'm thinking there was a slide above us somewhere. The mud hasn't left, either. Normally, it starts to clear by now, but with the nearly constant rains today, it may be a while.
Members flyrod17 Posted May 11, 2015 Members Posted May 11, 2015 with a lake as clear as TR, does the murky water put the fish down? "I'm Haunted by Water"
5bites Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Nope it makes them shallow and by wood or tight to bushes if it's available. As rps mentioned sometimes the dirt is actually just a layer on top but the water is actually clear underneath. flyrod17 1
