Gavin Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Doug runs his jet down there when it's legal in the fall. Not the best way to fish it but he does what he does. Good angler, but he likes running that jet a lot more than paddling.
Gene K Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 I guess I mistakenly assumed props only. So someone can run an old 2 stroke 25 hp jet jon boat from September 16 to April 30, but a Mokai isn't allowed during that same time-frame? That's kind of backwards, IMO...
Members jwitt618 Posted June 1, 2015 Members Posted June 1, 2015 Yeah, we were shocked that any sort of motor was allowed. Doug (that's his name, it's all coming back now) steered us toward some great looking spots and suggested some patterns from our boxes, but man those slow fishin' days really separate the beginners and the experienced anglers. We also met some folks that live up the hill from the ford. Real nice folks.
