Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted May 25, 2015 Root Admin Posted May 25, 2015 With Table Rock's level rising past 917 feet and 2 of 4 turbines down at Table Rock Dam, they opened flood gates again last night to move water through the system. 917 feet seems to be the magic number, according to the discharge a couple of weeks ago. But this time Beaver is pushing the upper limit so if they start releasing water at Beaver Dam, expect the gates at Table Rock to stay open longer this time. Plus there's more rain in the forecast this week. Alex Heitman 1
Feathers and Fins Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Beaver was at 1128.62 at 5:30 this morning when I got up. Just looked at the real time NWS site for her elevation and she is now at 1129.03 so 4 inches in 4 hours if that continues she will hit 1130 by 9pm tonight. 1130.00 they will have minor flooding occurring and gates should open. More rain tonight heavy at times expected and the bull's-eye area looks to be the Fayetteville are which will continue to feed the lake. THIS COULD be another Gates open situation like a few years ago. And more rain all week doesn't look good for the WR Lakes https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted May 25, 2015 Author Root Admin Posted May 25, 2015 I'm thankful they've kept Table Rock at a decent level in preparation for this. We will see more flow from our gates but it won't be a flooding situation for any of us. It will, though, be great fishing for us and it will continue way after the gates are closed - well into the summer.
