Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted June 19, 2015 Root Admin Posted June 19, 2015 SUMMARY. Tropical Storm Bill is moving out of the Little Rock District. With the exception of Greers Ferry, all White River Lakes are experiencing moderate rises. Arkansas River Lakes are steady or falling.Precipitation/Forecast. The brunt of tropical storm Bill skirted around the northern edge of the White River Basin during the night. The worst rain in the district was along an arc from the Beaver Local, Table Rock Local, and James River Basins; precipitation ranged between 1.5 and 2.0 inches in those areas, but total basin average for both Beaver and Table Rock was about 1.5 inches. Most basins received less than 0.5 inch of rainfall. Scattered convection storms are expected across the state today. The local NWS forecast discussion says, "...possible the Northern row or two of Arkansas Counties could pick up an additional 1-2 inches of rain today give the slow movement of this remnant system." Mostly dry conditions across district for next seven days once Bill moves east today. Clearwater basin is forecasted to receive between 2" and 3" inches of precipitation today.Table Rock: elev 918.63 and rising; releasing 14.8k CFS, using 2 turbines and 8 gates @ 1-ft. luckycraft Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Whats it look like down there Phil? Springfield got nailed today and the James crested spilling water on the 65/60 interchange. Most water in the James I have ever seen.
Members Bimmer Posted June 20, 2015 Members Posted June 20, 2015 So does this mean we should leave the rods at home tomorrow? God is my Pilot! I'm just riding "shotgun".
Gatorjet Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 Phil, I've been asked if someone can sign up for the emails about Table Rock releases, or does the Project Manager just send them out to esort owners and those that could be effected by the flow rates. Real men go propless!
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted June 22, 2015 Author Root Admin Posted June 22, 2015 It's just to people who are directly involved in this situation - press, businesses, city and county government.
Gatorjet Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Thanks Phil. I'll let them know. I already td them to just watch this forum, or your facebook page because you do a great job of relaying the information. Real men go propless!
