Members Arlyn Fisher Posted June 28, 2015 Members Posted June 28, 2015 We plan to camp this week at Stockton Monday - Wednesday. I haven't done any good lake fishing but have been reading posts here trying to learn how. I fish ponds, rivers, n strip pits but lake fishing is a lot different. I'd be glad to go for anything but have fished the most for largemouth. I read in the past about trolling flicker shads and crankbaits around points n center of coves. I've tried hitting brushpiles and shore brush with worms. Any ideas would be great.
Ketchup Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Stick to your worms and timber. Early and late, fish in that 12' and under depth. The water has good clarity so any color in a green or purple should do. Either a C-Rig with 2' leader or Texas Rig would be my choice. What area are you staying? TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
Members Arlyn Fisher Posted June 29, 2015 Author Members Posted June 29, 2015 Crabtree cove I have a decent boat though and can run a ways if need to.
wtr dogs Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 The lady with the big bass had a large plastic worm hanging out ???? Probably caught close to the brush. We have been trolling Flickershads in the Crabtree area the last couple of days. U can't catch fish on the graph, but they haven;t been along the bluffs, but suspended in 30+- in the coves.
