Members ARangler Posted June 30, 2015 Members Posted June 30, 2015 Put in at 86 ran up by the dam and fish 3 of my best deep spots not a fish, so decided to put the spinning rod down and go run way up long creek and fish like men, ended up with around 20 fish, jig was the best and they wanted it swimming to, so I held my rod up and reeled fast and shook my rod and kinda buzzed it along about 6 inches under the water and they where crushing it, also caught fish on a horny toad, and a old bagley square bill. Best fish was around 3 1/2 pounds, had around 6 keeps. Off the water by 9.30. Champ188 1
Alex Heitman Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Nice report! That's the way I love to fish. Power fishing up long creek when they are biting you can't beat it. How far did you have to run up?
Members Middleton369 Posted June 30, 2015 Members Posted June 30, 2015 How far up did you run? Gonna launch at the RV park across from Cricket at 6 in the morning was planning to spoon fish and drop shot around 86 because the reports I have heard had said that up Long Creek wasn't worth the time. Would love to fish brush way up the creek but decided not to because of what I've heard lately. Your report gives me hope
