Subliminal messages _ hey Im an aussie subtlety never a strong suit LOL If it has to be said I'll usually open my big mouth and say it.

So we offer free shipping too on orders over $100. Try very hard to be prompt and we do have a specials page on our website Specials

I always encourage people to use local shops, be it mail order or what have you. If youve been unfortunate enough to sit through one of my speaking engagements ;) you probabaly have heard me say it "if you can't cast the fly rod, you're not in a fly shop you're in a department store"

There's a good reason Bryce and I in the Dam Store, Michael, Phil et al all work in this game, its certainty not the money its about passion first _ yeh crazy I know, ask my father who still tells me I need a real job every time he calls from Oz. We use the stuff we sell, we probably brought it into the shop because we use it and like it, we tie the flies, cast the rods inside out, wear out the waders, break the reels etc etc.

And on most of the Quality FF gear we are all pretty competitive on price with the big box stores, a lot of times exactly the same, and a better range of the stuff you need _ not arrays of size 10 western dry flies, or bonefish flies, like some big boxes I could name.

Incidentally I visited one recently and was seriously tempted to offer assistance to the guy trying to figure out how to spool up a reel. I was probably in there for 45 minutes and he hadn't got it worked out. Bryce and I were working on casting with a couple of Texans reels, and ended up respooling their reels, the WF flylines had been put on backwards, purchased in a cheapie combo put together in a big box. Made a big difference to their casting.

Point Im trying to make is back the flyshops, local first, we live with this stuff and lvoe playing with it. None of us mind getting a call, a query etc on anything from tying to casting places to fish etc.

Like the look of your site Michael, can't believe I haven't checked it out before. Looking forward to seeing yours too Phil.

Cheers

Steve
