Thinking about going over and spider rigging on Lake Elmdale today. Never been on it. Would anybody know what it's like after all this rain and is the ramp steep enough so I don't have to go for a swim to get my boat off the trailer?

No clue. I haven't been there in a year because it has more boats per acre than Beaver.

Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message.

He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!

The ramp is steep enough as far as I know. I think it is very heavily fished by locals living around it.

Once I found the sweet water. I started getting a little action. Crazy things were biting strange though. I would sit there and see my rod tip go straight out and get slack in my line.

That always seems to take me off guard for a second when they bite that way. I never seem to get a solid hook set. Lost five that way today with one being a real nice one that I lost right at the boat.

Turned out not to be too bad of a day I ended up with six nice crappie fillets that is just enough for supper this evening.

Also I was they only boat on the water during the time I was out there.

Were you jigs or minnows?
