Members JustFishin4Fun Posted July 10, 2015 Members Posted July 10, 2015 I'm floating Jacks fork alley springs the current river tomorow. Not sure which part but we will float past the spring. I'm sure Ned rigs and worms work but what else should I bring I'm keeping it to one spinning setup and a baitcaster. Or do I even need two rods please help lol. Also if you are familiar with the area and a specific color works let me know. I catch and release even if it's a record fish so no worries if you let me in on some secrets. I usually only float it once a year
GloryDaze Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Have you checked the water levels there- if the gauges I am looking at are accurate, not a snowball's chance in hell would I be on that river. The level upstream at Buck Hollow is currently 4' above flood stage, a smooth 12,600 CFS and the water only goes downstream from there. Not even realistic to think you will be on it tomorrow, or this weekend. Follow me on Twitter @DazeGlory
405z06 Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Saw this on Facebook from 2 hours ago: Ozark National Scenic Riverways 2 hrs · With all the overnight rainfall, both rivers are closed to non-motorized vessels today. That includes the Jacks Fork River from the Prongs to Two Rivers, and the Current River from Montauk to Gooseneck.
Greasy B Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Head to a lake this weekend. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
Members JustFishin4Fun Posted July 10, 2015 Author Members Posted July 10, 2015 Yea I'll call em again and make sure but yesterday she said it was fine and might be okay to float tomorrow if they didn't get like 12 inches idk lol

Members DownStream Posted July 10, 2015 Members Posted July 10, 2015 I think we all would rather be on a stream right now, but use common sense and don't do it. Be safe out there folks.
Members JustFishin4Fun Posted July 10, 2015 Author Members Posted July 10, 2015 Guys I know it's closed today. I live in the Ozarks lol thanks. Now on to the old original question. What have you had decent luck on there
