ollie Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Geez, this is getting terrible and old. This time a girl has drowned on the lower Elk. It was on the news last night. She was playing near the water and her Mom told the police that she slipped and fell into the water. 12 years old and they say she came up once for air and then disappeared under the water. Rescue crews are now in the recovery mode to find the body. Tragic to say the least. Be careful out there. This will be the second child this river has claimed this summer alone. A third one almost died about a month ago on the upper end. jtram Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Very sad, makes me wonder why people refuse to respect water.
ollie Posted July 16, 2015 Author Posted July 16, 2015 Well they found her body yesterday in the river not too far from where she went in. This one really baffles me because she wasn't in the water to begin with and was only suppose to be on the shore looking at the water.
