Ok , so the trip was a success #1 no lost gear, lots of fish, lots of fun, lots of beer. We floated the upper Gasconade. father in law=14 fish 1 keeper, uncle = 4, aunt= 7 (including the 2 best fish of the day ,an 18in smallie3lbs, and 17in LM) brother in law=16 fish2keepers, my fiancé (2 fish on 10 casts including 1 15inch keeper SM), and myself 16 fish including 2keepers both 15in 1SM and 1LM) all fish were caught on some variation of soft plastics. Could no get bit on top water until the very end I caught 2 on a fluke. The rest of mine were caught on the Ned and jig n pig. Tubes and large jigs caught te best fish. The water was about a foot high, and visibility was about 3-4ft. Thanks for the tips, it felt good to get back out there , I have done so much lake fishing this year , I had to change my mind set. I forgot how fun and easy smallmouth are to catch( well I forgot how easy they were, they have an always will be my favorite fish to catch) but , when on the big reservoirs you have to be prepared for any and every possible pattern.
