Members Eric the awful fisherman Posted August 6, 2015 Members Posted August 6, 2015 So this weekend I am possibly fishing the Norfork tail waters this weekend. I've never caught a brook or a cutthroat. Id like to get some input to maybe improve my chances of doing so. Thanks!
Ham Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 You got a good shot at both. You would have a better shot at a Brook Trout if you came back after they stocked them in October. As far as I know, they only stock 15,000 once a year in October. Brown trout eat a lot of them. Put your time in and you will get a cuttie. My best advice is try some dry flies. The cuts seem to love bugs on the surface. You may have to fish your way thru a lot of rainbows and Browns, but there are worse things in life than that.
