Members whitebassman Posted August 18, 2015 Members Posted August 18, 2015 Just curious if anyone has had any luck yet on whites busting shad on the flats. I've been working a lot so I hadn't been out yet. I'm going here before too long out of Mutton Creek.
Dutch Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 I haven't seen any morning activity but haven't been of an evening.
slab slinger Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 The last time I went out I was counting on them to be and struck out. I have asked everyone I know that question and all have said they have seen NO surface activity yet from the whites. They may be there just have to troll and cover water till you find them. Don't know what the deal is this summer, they should be going strong by now.
J.M. Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Saw a few yesterday up near chicken rock they didn't stay up long.
Dutch Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 I saw the same as J.M. yesterday afternoon near chicken rock. We only managed 9. Then they disappeared and we couldn't find them again.
Members unclefish Posted August 29, 2015 Members Posted August 29, 2015 I was out thur on the flats fishing for walleyes with no luck but short ones.I reeled in my lines to call it quits and white hammered it so I came up with a thought. I took a 1oz egg sinker with a 3ft lead and a rooster tail and trolled it at 1.5mph 3 to 4 ft off bottom ended up with 7 whites. But as far as anything on surface seen nothing.
