Members Bradsnation Posted August 23, 2015 Members Posted August 23, 2015 Caught fish all day Saturday in 5 ft water. Mostly large mouth. Had the lake to myself until the sun came out. Saw stripers feasting in back of coves. The lake is coming back to life. Tanderson15, J-Doc, fisherofmen11 and 4 others 7
RyanG Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Thats awesome to hear! What part of the lake were you in if you dont mind me asking? I am gonna go out tomorrow for a bit.
Members Bradsnation Posted August 23, 2015 Author Members Posted August 23, 2015 Coose hollow. I threw a jig all day. I was a happy camper with the jig bite. I just don't feel good fishing in 35 ft water. Lots of activities on the water. It is good to see again RyanG and fisherofmen11 2
fisherofmen11 Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Thanks for the info! I went Thursday night and fished shallow but did not do any good. I did see all kinds of shad shallow though. Maybe I was just in front of them.
RyanG Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Thanks for the info! I dock in Coose so thats where i spend a lot of time! Now im excited haha
Dan the fisherman Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 That's an awesome day. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to try and get out this afternoon if the rain stays away. Glad to here someone getting into them a bit. What the water temp now. It was 86 last time I was out.
Members Bradsnation Posted August 23, 2015 Author Members Posted August 23, 2015 It was 82 degrees yesterday
jolicious Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Hickory Creek had Whites / Spots mixed together Saturday 8-22-15 schooling until 8:15am or so. It was great to see the mouths of coves exploding almost all the way across again. I believe we are juuuuuuuust about ready to start that fun 2-3 week fall span Dan the fisherman 1
Dan the fisherman Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 I went out to day for several hrs. Zeroed though. Fished prairie creek, coose, rocky branch, Rambo creek.... Well I did catch a bunch of sun fish on a spinner bait. But I don't consider that really catching anything. Wind was tuff and pleasure boats made it tuffer. Water temp was 80-82
RyanG Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 I got for a few hours just after noon after the rain moved through but only managed a small walleye on a squarebill up shallow. Did have several nice bass blow up on a topwater and a fluke but missed both. Didn't have the time to fish the way I should have been, or how I feel like I should have. Haha. But it was nice to see some 2-3lb bass come smash a bait ball next to the boat. Hopefully a sign of things to come. Bradsnation 1
