Quillback Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Got out this morning, threw the jig around, caught a dozen bass, but only one that would rate as a keeper. Mix of smallies, spots and LM. Missed a contender, just could not get a good hookset before it got off. Still getting them off chunk rock banks, in water 5 -15 feet deep. Water temps 79-81. Going through Roaring River park on my way to the lake, saw an air temp reading of 48. Chilly out there for an August morning! Champ188 1
merc1997 Bo Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 hopefully the lowering of water temps will help with the bite. if you saw any bait ball, what depth were most of them? bo
Quillback Posted August 26, 2015 Author Posted August 26, 2015 Didn't notice many bait balls today, but there are minnows almost everywhere along the banks, I don't know if they are shad or not, but whatever they are, they are everywhere.
