Members marty f Posted September 2, 2015 Members Posted September 2, 2015 Good afternoon gentlemen. My name is Marty, I currently live in the Shreveport area, but we are currently building a house near Yellville, just a little south of Peel. We are building our retirement home. I am a Salty, I often go to big lake (calcasieu), Buras, and Venice. I am a Reds fisherman. alot of folks down here like the Specs, but I prefer the Reds. I have a 2014 Epic bay boat. I bought the boat last summer knowing we will at some point move to Yellville, but I also needed a boat that will serve my needs here in the salt. I think it will do just fine! As I stated I am a Salty. havent fished fresh since I was a kid. I would like to get to know the area and methods of fishing fresh. I would especially like to target Walleye and Stripers. I do understand stripers were just stocked a few yrs ago in BS but are prevalent in NF. That being said Ill be asking A LOT of questions, please forgive my ignorance, for I know nothing about Walleye and Stripers. Once we get moved Ill continue to to come back to the salt on a regular basis, so anyone that wants to go red fishing, your welcome to come along Anyways I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello . Ill post the same thread in the upper BS forum. not sure if they are linked or not Here are a few pictures of our house being built, my boat, and what I normally fish for!

mjk86 Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Welcome....Youve come to the right place.......In order to learn how to fish the above species youll need to do a THOROUGH search of the forums old threads. Not just the bull shoals forums but the other white river and similar impoundments. For stripers look here, and at the beaver forum. Also there is a striper/hybrid forum (walleye too). For walleye, search here, stockton, table rock, and beaver lake forums. Look for posts (regarding walleye) from RPS, stockton lake guide service, mike worley, powerdive, imt out. For stripers look at feathers and fins posts. There are loads more, but thats a good start. Posts from those guys alone will teach you how to effectively get both walleye and stripers just about any time of year. Good luck!
