Members Chef of the Sea Posted September 3, 2015 Members Posted September 3, 2015 went out at sunrise Wednesday morning. Very cool and foggy. I finally landed some fish, and saw and missed a lot more. Some of the old haunts are above water now. Pretty sure you can wade to them from the dam access, but the furthest access in the dam site was non negotionable. Anyways the past few trips I've had the river looks more like a river and less like a lake. Good looking healthy fish that I caught. Nothing too large but a lot of fun on the fly rod. Almost makes up for hundreds of skunkings those tailwaters have given me... Ready for fall and winter when the crowds disappear Amery 1
jtram Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Im assuming still no current? Stripping wooly's?
Members Chef of the Sea Posted September 4, 2015 Author Members Posted September 4, 2015 No current. The smallest of woolys I could find. And id watch them check it out, olive they'd aggresively hit, black most of them were sketchy with, and brown they wouldnt even follow. For what it's worth. I ran out of small boogers, and switched to a larger size and even with the bigger splash they didn't spook.
