Yes Deep Water I believe there is a Ramp just West of 13 HWY. Trying to remember but there I believe you put in and come back under the Bridge. Believe I've seen Catfish Jugs in there.

Just have to be careful in so much of Truman because of the Trees they left standing. But very Good fishing.

went and fished Truman for the first time .i put in at bucksaw. Caught fish but also caught the boat on a lot of trees .what are some tips on navigating that lake .does a guy need a gps system to help him stay in the river channel when he's traveling to a new spot .

There are millions X millions of broke off trees just under the water in Truman lake the lower the water gets the worse this gets. You don't really need a GPS system but they are nice. I have fished Truman since it opened and just recently put a GPS unit on my boat. Get a good lake map and learn where the channels are and take short trips until you learn this lake. Any time that I pull off the main channel I slow down way down!!! Trim your motor up so that if you do hit something it will help the lower unit slide up and over the tree if you do run the boat up on a tree top I just gas it enough to slide up and on over it. I feel that is a lot easier on the bottom of the boat instead of stopping on the tree and then try to back off or rock the boat to get it off the stump. Of course any time that you move to a new area this whole process starts all over again.

It's a great fishing lake just be patient and take the time to learn it there are lots of fish to be caught there for sure. There are lots of good fishing all over the lake but Bucksaw remains one of my favorites.

Wear your life jacket and hook up the kill switch!!!!!!!

Scared my wife hit a tree had my 18/60 on its side. The lake is hard on transducers too.

You always hear about damage to fiberglass boats on Truman, and it does get its share from folks who simply hammer down and don't realize what underneath, but it eats transducers like a wold would eat baby ducks.  Wonderful lake, great fishing, but you are going to slide up on trees, hook your trolling motor on trees etc.  That's just fishing truman.
