I think survival depends on water conditions to some degree.  Seems I remember seeing somewhere that some percentage of walleye that are kept are hatchery origin, 40-60% maybe.

If one of the AGFC bios see this they probably have a number.

Should be good survival this year due to the large amount of submerged terrestrial vegetation providing nursery habitat.  Walleye fingerlings have an advantage over the other fingerling species because of their early start and larger size.  I wouldn't be surprised if many of the walleye fingerlings stocked this year are already 9-10 inches, with some being even larger.

Man those things grow faster than my 5yrs olds feet!  That's a big jump in length.
