bobby b. Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 As indicated in recent post, I’m just retired. Although I’ve been doing OK on the bass (mostly smallmouth) in the Indian Point area (thanks in part to info I get from OAF), I’m interested in deep trolling. I’ve tried dipsy divers but am unsure about the depth they are taking my cranks and the consistency. So I’m interested in a downrigger and have one question – What is the maximum normal depth one might expect to see fish on TR? Any help is appreciated. Thanks Bobby
rps Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Last summer (2014) one of my reliable sources informed me he was taking walleye and bass on a vertically jigged spoon at the bottom of the channel in 50 FOW. I did not fish that pattern, but I believe him. I have frequently caught fish in the 28 to 34 foot range.
