smbasser Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Decided to brave the cooler temps and head to the river again today around rivercut golf course. With the cooler temps they seemed to be tucked into the cover. All fish came on a jig. Had a few good ones tho1mas and Dougie 2
Members Slippery Posted October 5, 2015 Members Posted October 5, 2015 Nice job! I could see the Finley from my tree stand and thought about bringing a pole next time. bs1827 1
vonreed Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Wow, them are a couple whoppers for a river caught bass. Congrats. It appears you know how to fish. I wouldn't wanna be against you in a river tourney, lol.
smbasser Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 for some reason the river fish this year seem to be larger, both the largemouth and spots. I think the flood washed all the fish from Springfield lake into the James!!!
yaknar Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 smbasser, I got out on the river Friday. I was going to post a report but wow, after seeing your fish, I think I'll just say "way to go".....
smbasser Posted October 6, 2015 Author Posted October 6, 2015 Thanks guys. Seems this year the big fish have came out to play and with me not having my boat until January its nice to hit the river and just relax for an afternoon. Another thing, all those fish are still swimming for someone else
Mofloatjunkie Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Nice fish. I just got back from fishing under the dam and caught some nice bass and my first walleye. I agree the bass seem to be bigger this year. smbasser 1
crappie_adams83 Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Hey Mo float junkie you should come out to the kayak tournaments we had this year if every body had a pole and a fish on the line there would never be a war
