Bull Shoals Whites

I talked to some of the very best upper Bull Shoals fishermen today. They haven't been down there yet but plan to go this week. I'll try to find out what they do and post any good news.

Hey Prowler, How often do you go to the spring river in OK. I like to make a trip our there about this time every year. Its one of those trips that will boost your ego. Another place for you to try out in oklahoma is on the other end of the lake below the Dam. The town in called Langley. The body of water is the Grand River I believe, All I know that the fishing there is excellent as well....I make a trip out there around Mid May. We have caught hundreds of whites there and it feels like the pothole. The water is much clearer than it is in the spring river, It looks much like upper taneycomo when the water is running.

Spring River is running muddy... but there's whites in Sycamore Creek... got it on a good report. Friend of mine caught dozens on Sunday evening.

I get to Spring River about 3-4 times a year. Not as much as I would like, I live just north of Joplin, so I'm not that far. My problem has been I didn't have a boat up until about 2 weeks ago, so I was reliant upon good buddies to take me! Now that I have a boat I hope to get down there a little more. I have 2 friends that I would consider a pretty reliable source that went down yesterday. I am anxious to get their report today of what they caught, once I do I will post. Langley....Yes, I have heard all about it! Sorry to say that no I have not been there yet, key word is YET! My father used to take annual trips to Langley in May/June and I would hear all about the fish they caught. I'm partial to Bull Shoals, that's why I don't make as many trips to Grand/Spring River area. I enjoy just being on Bull Shoals, catching fish at BS is just an added bonus for me!
