J-Doc Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Say What ? You mean all that high-tech sonar, and the many hours of study learning to interpret it hasn't resulted in some serious fish catching success ? Who predicted that ? I never said they would help me catch fish (not that I recall anyway). Until yesterday, they have ALWAYS helped me find fish. Compared to my old units, these are worth every penny and I love having the ability to cover more water looking for fish. Once I find them, I try to figure them out. And being self-taught, that takes A LOT of time on the water trying different things. Not everyone has 4-5lb pets in their backyard and has the ability to hold "Management Meetings" on the water whenever they feel like you do. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!

M_Taylor Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Good advice from Champ. This is how I've been catching fish the last two weeks with somewhat consistent results. Having a crank, Spinnerbait, and topwater on the deck and switching through until you find what the fish want has been key. And it changes from spot to spot sometimes. As far as high end electronics: it's helped me learn the lake, and therefore helped me catch more fish. Champ188 1
