The bite is good and the size is great!  Right now they are starting to transition from fall to winter pattern.  You can catch them anywhere from shallow to deep trees, shallow to deep brush piles.  The best places are the ends of bluffs, they will either be on the far end of the bluff where the water moves into a flat or in deep water right on the end of the bluff.

We used chart jigs, fished 5-15' deep.

Good luck and give us a report when you get back in.

Went today - awesome trip!!!!  Had 30 of the nicest crappie I've ever caught (ok, I only caught 15).  Trees and brush, some shallow some deep, just got to poke around a little.

Good luck!

Yesterday we fished the Pomme arm, however I prefer to fish the Lindley.  Both arms are great and hold good fish. Hope the rain doesn't hold up your trip, but we sure need it!

Well...not a whole lot of success... a few small ones. Went up to Bennett Springs and finished off with a trout supper!

Ouch!   talk about adding insult to injury.  Eating trout when you were primed for crappie fillets.
