Personally I feel more at ease among a couple somewhat wild/tame wolves than I do walking around on the streets of our larger cities after dark.

At least I feel like I might have deserved the predation should a wolf want to rumble.

They'll huff and they'll puff and they'll blow your house down. I'll root for the T-wolves if I knew they would not kill any livestock.

Wolves are not know to prey on humans. The avoid human contact whenever possible. We do have a bunch of trigger happy kill anything that moves people around that may shoot just to say they shot a wolf. It is a shame but that is the way life is. Don't get me wrong I am not against hunting I am just against killing for the sake of killing just because you can. They may end up just as Silver Mallard stated because they have been in captivity to long. Then again they may just go back to where they feel comfortable at Predetor World too.

Respect your Environment and others right to use it!

the thing about having wolves escape from a place where they have been in contact with people is that they aren't as shy as a wild one would be.

it would be kinda cool to have a wild pack around though.

several years ago, there were reports of a female african lion having escaped from a place that raises several types of predators near where i lived. after it was sighted by multiple people on our road, the sheriff sent a patrol car to escort kids from the bus stop to their houses every day until the situation passed. the place never did admit to anything escaping, so i'm pretty sure they caught it. having been bred and raised in captivity, it had limited hunting ability, so became a threat to easier prey... livestock, pets, and people

i carried a 30-06 in my truck until the patrol cars stopped coming, and i promise you that if i had seen it, i'd have killed it without thinking twice.

Now this is a true taney county story.I dont remember the names but I do remember the circumstances. years ago there was a gentleman in southern taneycounty line close to Branson who ended up with an african lion cub.I personaly played with it on the parts counter of the store I managed.I was married and lived also close to thid residence, I t was and still is very rural. One day we where called and told of horses that had got out of this gentlemans farm.As my wife and I cruised the lanes looking for horses, we saw, and this is still very vivid in my mind, 6 horses walking down the middle of the road with a full sized african lion herding them from behind and the lions owner in a pickup following behind that.It looked like an oversized pet parade. And no I didnt have a camera.......................................................or a beer in my hand

i'd pay to see a picture of that.

the main difference there is the gentleman was able to properly care for and train the cat so that it wasn't a safety issue. the place outside warrenton does not have animals that are tamed and trained in the same way.

i never saw the cat. my dad and some of his buddies did up at the neighbor's one night after the patrol cars had begun escorting the children. i personally believe we had it out there because the sheriff's dept. was escorting the kids. had the predator place been able to account for all of their animals, i don't think the sheriff would have bothered with driving 2 miles down a private gravel road every day for about a month and a half.

What's neat is that the pregnant female may have already established a den and could give birth in the wild. Go T-wolves!

They also had only been at Predator World for about 24-hours when they escaped. So it isn't their "home." I doubt they will return. They are most likely to try to return to where they came from, believe it or not. And they will probably die trying. Also, pregnant female wild animals are generally more volatile. She'll be even worse if she whelps pups. And they will have to feed them after she nurses them. A pack of ravenous wolves running around Kimberling City and Reeds Spring is NOT going to end positively, guys...laying all the romantic notions aside.

Wolves don't attack people very often because we wiped them out almost everywhere in North America where anyone actually lives. And there was a good reason why we wiped them out.

Ravenous? Are the local sheep herds at risk?If anything I bet these lifelong cage raised dogs will hunt a can of alpo.Seriously in that area, rabbits , deer and other slow moving kitty cats will be in menu.
