Thought you guys could help me out.  My son and I want to tangle with some of those redfish.  Started by looking at Louisiana but am open to other places as mentioned here.  Do you have any suggestions on locations and guides that you'd recommend?  We're working kind of blind here so on the ground knowledge of good guides would be a huge help.  Would like to use fly rod and kayaks if possible but our main goal is to get into the reds, action first and foremost then focus on the big guys.

Stinger160 - I have been using "Sails And Tails Kayak Charters" out of Pensacola for my kayak fly fishing trips for Reds and Specs. He is a real professional and works hard!  We fish off shore and in shore.  My favorite is going out at night for 36" plus Redfish. Check out his web page-Lots of great pictures.

Pretty much year round. Anytime after Easter thru June and then again for Fall are my favorite times. I really like to go during red snapper season-Being able to fish for reds and snapper makes for a great trip. Not sure when the 2016 snapper season opens, however.  You might consider giving him a call
