blacknoseddace Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Fished the dam for walleyes today until an hour after dark, thought I may have had one bump. Didn't catch any. Didn't see any landed, nor did I hear any splashes from nearby boats after dark. Talked to a couple guys at the ramp and they didn't do any good either. Water at the dam 45 degrees, the warmest I saw today was 48 degrees in a cove. I fished jerkbaits, crankbait, flicker shad, football jigs (for bass). Caught one bass on KVD jerkbait, a 16" Kentucky. Beautiful sunset. The lake was busy with boats. I'm sure somebody caught a walleye, just wasn't me. Embarrassed to say I fished 6 hours for 1 bass. Lol! tho1mas, trythisonemv and slab slinger 3
minnowhooker Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Don't feel bad I fished longer than that for one crappie yesterday. trythisonemv and blacknoseddace 2
dprice Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 What a view Have you tried up by the bridge ? Dprice priceheatingair.com
blacknoseddace Posted March 5, 2016 Author Posted March 5, 2016 No, sure didn't. Are you referring to 215 bridge?
Members lundone Posted March 6, 2016 Members Posted March 6, 2016 Also fished most of the day on friday with part of the time around the dam area and ended up with one crappie. All I saw were boats constantly moving from one spot to another so not likely many were catching fish.
blacknoseddace Posted March 6, 2016 Author Posted March 6, 2016 Yep, I saw the boats moving quite a bit too. Spring is almost here. Another month of warm spells, wind, and cold fronts, then instant heat, and darn good fishing in between. Ha ha! Can't wait. Organized my tackle today. trythisonemv 1
trythisonemv Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Walleye should be moving up big time with rain! Same with the whites. I'm going to little sac next Monday to try my luck too. Love Missouri
