Members Xraydude Posted March 6, 2016 Members Posted March 6, 2016 My son is on spring break from MSU this week and wants to hang out with dad Thurs-Sat this week. Well the first place I thought of was Stockton. But I have never fished there this early. Would you: 1. Fish the upper ends, CC and Highpoint for white bass and walleye, maybe catch some warmer water. 2. Fish the dam area, I am not sure how long the walleye there stay active. 3. Switch gears and head to Bennett Springs trout fishing. So mother nature is looking to have her fun this week, I guess there is a fourth option, watch it rain/have a beer. Thoughts please??
MOPanfisher Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Mother nature would be the deciding factor for me. If she give a nice rain and bring up the river a little I certainly would give that a try, if it rolls big I would prowl the points around the dam. trythisonemv 1
inshore Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 agree with the panfisher. I was up turnback Monday and Thursday water above the bridge was in good shape. throw 2 inches of hard rain in and I suspect it will get muddy. hope to go Thursday probably out of state park looking for bass and maybe a eye that's done with the spawn.
