chi0082 Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 I'm thinking about chasing some stripers or whites. Anyone fish the coves in PC and know if the fish might be around there or have seen shad in there recently? Water color there?
J-Doc Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 I heard it was pretty stained and borderline muddy earlier this week due to the rain. chi0082 1 Need marine repair? Dan the fisherman Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 I haven't fished north of 12 bridge in weeks! I'd like to know also. I thought I was going to make it out today but was unable . chi0082 1
Blll Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Was out in PC this evening. 2 13" spots in 90 minutes. Looking for Crappies and found none. Water temp was 55 at 6pm and 53 at 7:30. Water was by no means clear but way better than War Eagle yesterday. Cloudy but not brown. About 6" of visability. Drop dead beautiful evening. chi0082 1
1969Larson Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Still brown today but trying to clear up. 54 degrees. Thick with shad in the way back of PC and Avoca. I think the stripers are only feasting on them after dark though. Contrary to what some say, they don't mind the muddy water. Green bass are biting pretty shallow on spinnerbaits and crawdad cranks. Go get 'em! There's plenty. Lance34, chi0082, Quillback and 2 others 5
chi0082 Posted March 18, 2016 Author Posted March 18, 2016 Thanks Bill! Nice catches Larson, were those all caught today?
Dan the fisherman Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 I fished beaver shores. Watered looked good but I zeroed. I only fished a hr, from about 715-815. Had some nervous baits at times but never got a bite. Nice catch Larson

All in the last few days and all in the same general area. Out before light today for a few hours but zeroed. Tons of bait back in the coves, but didn't look like anything eating it. 55 degrees and brown. chi0082 1
