I am far from a  Biologist but, looking at the charts -- It appears that the lake has not fully recovered from the shad kill back in 2009...??

Just curious. Are there any thoughts to introducing any type of aquatic vegetation to the lake? I remember back in the 70's and 80's there was quite alot of some type of plant that was in the lake. Not sure what it was but it grew in stalks with lots of leaves on it. Then it just seemed to disappear ?? Was great habitat for the bass and muskie. Especially the muskie !!!

It was milfoil. I loved to fish around Pomme's milfoil, back in the 1970s. Lake of the Ozarks had milfoil, too. Miles of it. Not sure I've ever heard what killed it off in those lakes.

Repeated attempts to re establish various aquatic plant have been tried over the last several years.  They do well and look good until the lake gets really high and stays a while, the the lack of sunlight kills it out.

Anybody know why there aren't smallmouths on the lower end of Pomme (know there are a few way up the arms)?
