Members kyled Posted March 24, 2016 Members Posted March 24, 2016 I have not had a chance to make it up this year and was wondering how the ramp was? I know we had some flooding and it changes year to year. I am sure there will be some mud but can you get launched okay?
Flysmallie Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Changed a lot since last year. There is a pretty good drop into the water under the bridge right now. There have been small boats unloading off it though.
bwcballer10 Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 I wouldn't unload anything from a trailer on Taylor ramp anymore. There is a 3 or 4 foot drop off into the water at the bottom of the ramp.
bologna Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Agree, ramp is gone. Shore will be solid mud slicker than snot after the rain. I had trouble launching a canoe there a week or so ago. Had to slide it down the mud and then take it out on the gravel beach and drag it through the woods back to the parking lot.
Members kyled Posted March 24, 2016 Author Members Posted March 24, 2016 glad I asked! Thanks a bunch
slab slinger Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 I put in at Orleans and run up. It's not that far even with a small motor. Better boat fishing below Taylor anyway won't be able to get past power line this year with current water conditions. SHALLOW.
Members catfisher123 Posted March 26, 2016 Members Posted March 26, 2016 Do you guys have any fishing reports you would share
bwcballer10 Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 Went this morning with my future father in law. We put in at 215 and floated down to Taylor, ended up with 24 whites and a walleye. No concentration of fish anywhere but caught 2 or 3 in each eddy. The bite was very light, missed more fish than we caught. slab slinger 1
bologna Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 I fished yesterday from Taylor to the steel bridge below. Fishing was slow, most people had no fish or at most 2 or 3.
