Pepe Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 What are the bushes/brushy trees with the small purple buds on them now? I remember when I was a kid, someone told me there is a color progression that is the same every year in the Ozarks. Anyone know?
denjac Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Redbuds. Dennis Boothe Joplin Mo. For a nation to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle." ~ Winston Churchill ~
OldMillRoad Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Redbud's bloom first, and Dogwoods bloom afterward.
MOPanfisher Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 yep, those are the redbuds. you will have some of the Bradford pear and service berry bloom first, then the redbuds, then the Dogwoods. I really think the blooms could use a little rain, at least they could here, and not a 4 inch in a hour type, the 1/2 to 1 inch in a day good soaking type. At least my asparagus and strawberries could use it. OldMillRoad 1
