Pepe Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 We do a lot of work at the ConocoPhillips refinery in Wood River IL and know that they add colorant to "off road" fuels when requested or required to do so. This includes gasoline and diesel. We buy a lot of off-road gasoline and it is tinted bright pink in the STL area, but it also has the required anti-smog "city" additives. It is my understanding that Oklahoma produced gasoline is generally not processed exclusively for mixing with ethanol and may therefore come out of the cat crackers and final processing with an amber color.
Will S. Posted August 8, 2016 Author Posted August 8, 2016 So far so good. Been using the best gas I can find ( on the water). fuel/water separator is clean, and I have not added any additives & seems to be running fine. I did some sun injector cleaner in one tank, maybe that helped... I guess if it aint broke don't fix it !
