chi0082 Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Thanks for the report jdelow77. Sure helps to know before making the 2 hr drive down there to find out no whites have made it there yet. Thanks again!
PigSooner Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Ran up to WE last night, fished for about two hours-down from the mill, around the bend and along the ledges. Only got one smallmouth. Water was clearing, could see about 2 1/2 ft.. chi0082 1
jdelow77 Posted April 12, 2016 Author Posted April 12, 2016 Heading out Thursday , I figure by then the weather and water should be perfect , now for some fish ..
hoglaw Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 I'm planning to fish up the other river on thursday. I'm concerned that these cold nights will screw it up. I can't fish the late shift so the cold mornings don't help me much, though the walleye don't seem to mind. petpipuppy 1
Dan the fisherman Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 I fished right near war eagle camp a couple of days ago and marked a bunch but only one hook up. I'm sure they were whites but maybe I didn't have what they wanted. Gotta keep picking at it I guess. I'll have my "big fish" day n e time. Just gotta keep picking away I reckon.
jdelow77 Posted April 13, 2016 Author Posted April 13, 2016 I can't go until the afternoon so ,I'm not worried about the colder mornings , I know they are catching whites up war eagle , got a buddy that's been hammering them ...and small walleye too
jdelow77 Posted April 15, 2016 Author Posted April 15, 2016 There are lots of suckers in the river right now , had a lot of hits and what felt like decent hook ups but lost a bunch of fish , the water is very low right now ...long story short , no whites and three sucker , two of which were huge !!!
hoglaw Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 I saw a ton of suckers too, and some giant fish playing in the shallows. spawning carp maybe. I fished yesterday and got on a hot white bass bite. I caught them nearly every cast from 830 to 11 or so and then tried for walleye. I zeroed there but dipped a brush pile for a second and caught a couple of crappie. So I spent the rest of my day crappie fishing. There are a lot of fish in the river right now. I ran as far up as my jet would let me but the water was down quite a bit. Dan the fisherman 1
hoglaw Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 The camp is down by sidewalk hole with the big dock right? It's at least six miles
