Russell Doughty Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Fished for a few hours with a couple of friends Sunday with pretty good results. I ended up with 22, all on a size 18 copper dun midge tied on a 14 2499spbl Tiemco. Less than half of the fish I caught the last trip, but it was a bluebird day so I didn't expect as good of results. Seems like the better the weather, the worse the fishing. bkbying89 1
brittsnbirds Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 That little fly looks very familiar by a different name??? Love that 2499SPBL, it is a hooking beast.
Ham Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Love that 2499SPBL, it is a hooking beast. Yep Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
NoLuck Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 The problem with the 2499spbl is finding them any where. Looks like everyone figured out how good they are and now they get bought up too quick. Also, they used to be $35.00 for a a 100pk. Now they are $40.00. Supply and demand I guess.
brittsnbirds Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 I quit buying the 2499's due to the price increase. Charlie turned me onto another hook that is pretty nice but can't remember it. Much cheaper and do a good job of hooking up.
