Members Dkelly-Sfd Posted April 14, 2016 Members Posted April 14, 2016 It's not the quantity-it's the quality. Late morning into early afternoon bolivar landing area on both chartreuse jig.& minnows. Biggest was 14"
Members Cgarym7 Posted April 15, 2016 Members Posted April 15, 2016 Dkelly-Sfd, Thank you for sharing! How many fow did you catch these slabs in and how deep were they caught at? I also went last Saturday morning and didn't have any luck with the crappie but I never fished the shallows either.
Members VJMAC Posted April 15, 2016 Author Members Posted April 15, 2016 Found some yesterday evening. wife and i both got limits in about an hour. Fast and furious ! 4-6 ft deep just out from a spawning area. I assume!! Mostly males.
MOPanfisher Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 It is slowly getting better, I only managed 8 last night but I had decided I was going to catch them shallow bust. Darn bass were crazy a I could have kept a limit of keeper bass easily.
Members Dkelly-Sfd Posted April 16, 2016 Members Posted April 16, 2016 Caught them all in 3-4 fow in a cove that was no more than 6' deep...went today & had another 9 from about 8:30 til just before 1 p.m. Better bite on bobber/minnow but couple on chartreuse jig.
Members VJMAC Posted April 16, 2016 Author Members Posted April 16, 2016 We got us another limit each tonite from around 5:30 to 7pm. More females tonite then yesterday. Mostly on minnows.
