Members Parker 1 Posted February 27, 2007 Members Posted February 27, 2007 We are coming down this Thursday through Sunday are they still running water non-stop?
loo10 Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 You certainly better plan on it. It won't be non-stop but it'll feel like it. Rich Looten Springfield, Missouri "If people don't occasionally walk away from you shaking their heads, you're doing something wrong."- John Gierach
Members snkrohn Posted February 27, 2007 Members Posted February 27, 2007 Concerning "running water", about what level of flow (cfm) do you concider safe to wade by the dam?
Leonard Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 I wouldnt wade over 1 unit.. but the point at chute 1 is wadeable at 4... but get out of the water is it seems the current is getting stronger http://www.taneycomonights.com
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 27, 2007 Root Admin Posted February 27, 2007 It's not matter of safe really... you can wade when the flood gates are open but just around the edges. From 1/2 unit to 2 units is wadeable but beyond that you're limited to the outlets.
mwfischer Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 How is the lake level this week? Last year I had trouble getting to the dam through the shallow areas, (Nearly had to troll) Is the level staying up high enough to boat comfortably to the dam? Mike
Leonard Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Ive never boated to the dam... but what I have seen.. you can get the with 1 unit on... so yes.. its possible toboat up there now.. there have been running almost 4 generators daily.. maybe you will get there and see 3 going.. but nots not for long.. http://www.taneycomonights.com
