White Bass above the dam at Finley river park

Anybody ever caught any up that way. I was walking around down there the other day and noticed a few whites that had been cleaned right there on the ramp. Kinda thought it was an odd place for white bass to be

Anything is possible,  I'd say someone stopped and cleaned them on their way back from the lake.

Highly doubt they came from the park area. They would have had to come over the dam at Riverdale and the mill dam at the park. Bet someone just dumped them after cleaning. I have caught whites below Riverdale dam years ago when you could still fish there. Really miss fishing there. It was a great multi species area.

If there were, I'm sure RSbreth would know and will chime in.  I doubt they were caught there.

I was kinda doubting it too, just seems like a weird place to bring 3 little white bass carcasses you cleaned to throw in. I would have threw them in my neighbors trash can before making a trip to the river to dump them

Whoever said it first got it right - people just stop on their way back from the James or wherever and clean their fish there. I've never caught a White above the two dams.

Now I did talk to a guy that said whites are way down on the finley, somewhere, did not want to give me a location,

You get some right at the confluence of the James and Finley at Jamesville mostly. A few hang a right and head up the Finley a ways but not many.
