Members Chuck Smith Posted April 21, 2016 Members Posted April 21, 2016 Nice fish, getting it mounted? Not very common @Stockton?
Members Olelund Posted April 21, 2016 Author Members Posted April 21, 2016 No it will be on the grill. Know any good grill recipes? Net Man
rps Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 With fresh walleye, salt and lemon pepper does it best. Unless, of course, you have time to make a spicy peach or strawberry salsa for garnish. Great fish. Looks to be in the 7+ pound range. For Stockton that is fantastic. Hunter91 1
Lifes2Short Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 1/2 melted butter & 1/2 Worcestershire sauce. Put the fish in the fish basket, put it over a hot grill and baste while the fillets are grilling. It's a great basting sauce for almost any fish!!! A wedge of fresh lime to squeeze over the fish after it's come off the grill and you have a meal to be proud of! blacknoseddace and Hunter91 2
blacknoseddace Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 One thing I've done with Flathead is grill it with butter, lemon, and cajun seasoning, that was really good. Hunter91 1

Members minnesotawalleyeguy Posted April 22, 2016 Members Posted April 22, 2016 Very nice! I've been fishing it pretty heavy for 10 yrs and I have good luck getting a limit almost every trip but nothing over 21 inches! Not complaining but I would love a biggin like that.
slab slinger Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Congrats on the big eye. That's a dandy fish. Don't get many like that on Stockton. 28.5 inchs is my pb on Stockton caught last yr. Only took 17 yrs to beat my old pb of 25". Lol. bassfisher and blacknoseddace 2
