Looking for Kid friendly areas in and around Washington County, MO

I have three younger kids 5-10 yo's. Looking for good places to take them fishing. Im originally from South Arkansas and still learning the area up here and trying to find rivers, creeks, lakes, etc to take them to fish. Dont have my boat in MO yet so mostly just bank fishing. So far only good place we have found is the YMCA on Sunnen Lake.

Council bluff lake is a great place, beatific lake it does have a trail around it with a lot of spots to fish, swimming beach, camp ground and the whole area is nice for families

Not all of these are fishing areas but all are great places to explore the outdoors.  St. Joe State Park by Park Hills, St. Francois State Park just north of Bonne Terre, Elephant Rocks, Johnson Shut ins, Taum Sauk Mountain, Fort Davidson, Red Bluff, Meramec State Park.
