Started a little late with the downpour. Fished 6:30 till 11. Of course caught the tale end of the white bass frenzy again. Two nice ones in 1st 3 casts and they were done. The wind calmed down so I went to my Ned bank and was not disappointed. 7 solid keepers including an 18" smallie and a 19" LM. Had two other smallies throw me.  Zero short bass this morning. Could not get a bite on buzz or spook. I thought the overcast would keep things going but no bites after 10am. I did keep a half dozen big Green Sunfiish with the whites for dinner. Rain kept the traffic down to nothing. 1 other bank beater and a Guide boat. WT still 66-68.

I might look for some whites on top in the morning but for sure I'm gonna take grandson tomorrow evening looking for whites on top. He's at that age where catching is necessary to keep his attention.

Water around Horseshoe Sunday was 71 steady, that is a little different. Wonder if it is different parts of the lake or difference in fish finders.

It's was warmer all last week. I fished tues, thurs and Friday with temps around that or warmer.   The sun never really broke out today and was pretty chilly.  I was reading 67-68 all day today.

I got out today also Bill.  I started at 9 though and expected to see some top water with clouds out real thick.  I covered water from RB to HSB looking for whites.  Right at 1230 I switched to bass fishing and tore them up in the pockets.  I was really hoping for some whites though.  Those dudes make awesome fish tacos.   I think the high winds kept them down.
