Like the title says I'm gonna get up and get out on the water before the sun comes up. Figure traffic will get bad with the Everett and pleasure crowd but I have time to kill before working the tournament weigh in. Ill be up in the clear end looking for some smallies. Ill be in an old red 21 foot Ranger with a yamaha on it. If yall ever see it feel free to stop and say hey. Ill hopefully have a good little report tomorrow. If your going out be safe and good luck!

Good luck up there tomorrow...I thought about going to the clear end but I am going the other direction. If the river doesn't produce, We may end up under the 12 bridge catching spots!!  And if all else fails, we will be eating at JJ's restaurant at noon!  Lol!!

Well, had a pretty good day out there today. Caught a good number of smallies up  around Indian creek. Decent top water bite for a bit this morning. Did more damage with an under spin with a Kietech on it while they were schooled up than top water though. Caught em the rest of the morning deep on a drop shot and the ned rig. Fished bluffs and deep rock banks and got almost all our bites on those banks. But they are deep. Keep your boat in 40-50 foot or more and cast into ~20 foot and fish out from there. Not quite my style but I'm learning. Didn't boat any solid keepers but a ton of 14 inch smallies. Made for a fun day. Took a swim to cool off and off the water by 1130-12 for the Everett weigh in. To wrap a long post up, just wanna commend those fellas running the Everett team trail. Had some really big bags today and those guys took awesome care of those fish. It was good to see those 3-5 pounders trying to jump out the tank. Haha.

Thanks for the report.  Sounds like a good day!  I haven't been down stream that far many times. I know there's a lot of water down there to cover. Are there less pleasure boats in that area? Or are you looking for cooler temps?

There were very few pleasure boats while I was down there yesterday but I was primarily going down there thinking most of the guys fishing the Everett tourney wouldn't run up there. Also knew getting in at prairie creek would be rough. It does have a bunch of water to cover down there but I just wanted to learn the deep water stuff a little more. There are some really good bluffs and deep rock structures to fish down there. And the water is incredibly clear, I saw bottom a little over 15 feet. Water seemed cooler too so that was a big reason for me going.
