Is there anyone in the Lake area that knows how to install a transducer the right way for a thru the hull type transducer? Or is there a better way for today's electronics. Just want to install a basic fishfinder like Lowrance makes for a couple hundred bucks. Want to be able to read it while moving. Also have the old style flasher units I want to be able to use.

Works BETTER because the angle is adjustable.

There is no way to perfectly center a thru-hull transducer.  And if you only plan on spending 200 bucks or less on the unit.... then you need every installation advantage you can get.

How fast do you plan on going?   I run a 64mph bass boat and I can't outrun my pings.

I just mean not slow enough that it is at an idle. At speed I just want to read depth. Could in my old boat with a in dash flasher. I know he has to slow down to get good fish readings. Anyway, thanks for the conservation.

Ok I was just checking to see if I "needed" to drop another mortgage on my electronics so I see structure at 60mph lol! Ill cancel the trip to bass pro and apologize to my wife.
