I will donate the 1st $25.00 to help Vinsott get some rod, reels and tackle back. Anybody want to join me? I don't personally know him but sharing the burden is always good.

Just joined up a little while ago.  What happened to Vinsott?

Someone stole all his fishing equipment and a Kayak off his dock.

That's what I was thinking. We should drop off checks to Hook, line and sinker. Who knows them personally that can talk to them, or I can but don't know them well. What is his name for checks?

Thanks guys. When the Police report gets finished I will submit it to my insurance and they said they should cover about $1000, less then half of what was stolen, but I would not feel right taking anyone's money. You are a bunch of great guys to even consider it to a stranger. It really makes me feel good knowing there are still wonderful people out there. Thank you all again, but no need to give me any money. My first name is Chris.

I will have Vinsotts address or other directions by the end of the day on where to send the funds. You could also buy a gift card from a tackle shop or sporting goods store and place in envelope. I have had a couple of private messages from people that want to give towards this as well. Thanks to all who are considering giving. We would all reply the same way Vinsott replied because it goes against our nature to receive gifts from strangers. It also goes against our nature to give gifts to strangers. However, it is rewarding to both parties. There is no pressure or guilt on anyone who does not give at this time. I am sure you have helped in other ways at other times.
