...crappie and white bass fishing! I want to know who is planning to chase them with the fly rods. Sound off here. Let's get a list together of crazy fly fishermen who think you can catch panfish and bass on a fly rod...and want to.

Oh, I also don't mind chasing crappie on ultralight spinning tackle if it means I get to go crappie fishing. So everyone keep that in mind if you find yourself with an open seat in the boat. ;)

Crappie...the OTHER white meat. :D

I plan to move on to alot of warm water fishing this year. I anticipate whites, crappie, and smallies. Several acres of ice storm cleanup are still keeping me at bay. There's a will, there's a way. :)

Im still imagining a lot of that ice storm cover laying in a few holes asking for a sunk nearnuf craw to be floated in there for a big smallie on a lil river branch I know of ;)

Hey Mallard.

I'm headed out tonight. We're leaving St. Lou and driving to either Taney or Norfork to trout fish this weekend. We're bringing our white bass stuff to try a little of that also. PRobably hit Beaver, Swan maybe NFOW.

Wherever we get the feeling to go that's where we're headed. Maybe a hybrid will be taken? One can only hope.

For several years, Crappie was my "target" fish... That was prior to fly fishing. Now I DO want to try my hand at catching some speck slabs on a fly rod. I've done the bass, white bass, smallmouth, and bluegill thing with a fly rod. Now, Sac-a-lait is one of my next ventures in the world of fly flinging....

But I've got my spinning rig in the truck, JUST in case...

LOVE them fillets comin' out of that hot Crisco!!!:P
