Dan the fisherman Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Well after 7 weeks off beaver lake I'll finally be back on the water this week. Does any one have n e good ideas or direction where to start fishing. I don't need specifics but just a general direction would be appreciated.. Thanks Lance34 1
Members oodlesiggy Posted July 28, 2016 Members Posted July 28, 2016 Hope you get more responses than I did. A couple of weeks I asked the same question since it will be my first trip to Beaver. Almost 200 views and only 1 response.
RyanG Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Good to hear youll be back after it Dan! As for the fishing I would think this cooler weather and rain would make for a good bite. Maybe some topwater with cloud cover or moving baits. But thats just a guess. 21 minutes ago, oodlesiggy said: Hope you get more responses than I did. Its really hard to answer a question like that, the answer stump gave you was about as good as it gets for beaver in my opinion. This lake is tough this time of year. It is absolutely a day by day lake. If you keep up with the weekly posts on here there will be enough info to try and piece something together. Dan the fisherman and Bg193ch 2
Dan the fisherman Posted July 28, 2016 Author Posted July 28, 2016 Lol it's no biggie. I was just trying to wake up the forum. I fish beaver a bunch normally. Guess I'll just have to dig in my memory bank and go to what I do in the summer. I'm thinking drop shot and spoons will be the key for me. Maybe a little deep cranking. RyanG 1
Dan the fisherman Posted July 28, 2016 Author Posted July 28, 2016 I really like fishing trees this time of the year. Deep tress though.
RyanG Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 I fished a little last sunday in the blazing heat and managed a couple of smallies in Indian creek but that was it. Tough stuff. lol. Ned fish though so it was fun, ive been trying to get comfortable with that rig. Didnt get anything on the dropshot which really surprised me. I also think finding fish was my issue. I suck at summer fishing. Haha. I cant wait for winter to roll around.
Stump bumper Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 I suggest you fish in the water near your boat and I have heard most people have been catching them with experience. RyanG and Daryk Campbell Sr 2

I'll throw the tackle boxes at them though if they don't hit it. RyanG 1
Members oodlesiggy Posted July 28, 2016 Members Posted July 28, 2016 I'll be there the first week of August, launching out of Lost Bridge Marina. I have a red Tracker deep v tiller, with MO registration and a couple of Walleye decals on the back. If you happen to see me, stop and say hi, I'll gladly share any info I figure out.
